ITT & EPA
Developing confident, evidence-informed teachers who can meet the needs of every pupil.
Our work in Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and End Point Assessment (EPA) is driven by a simple belief: every pupil, in every classroom, deserves a great teacher. We help providers prepare and assess new teachers with high expectations, practical skill, and a deep commitment to equity so that trainees are ready to meet the needs of all learners, regardless of background or starting point.

We work at both strategic and operational levels: from designing and sequencing phase/subject curricula that meet the DfE’s ITTECF requirements, to acting as tutors providing day-to-day support for trainee engagement, progress, and wellbeing.

Our Work In ITT.
-
Lead the design, development, and sequencing of phase/subject curriculum for ITT trainees in line with the DfE’s ITTECF requirements.
-
Monitor and evaluate the quality and impact of subject/phase training provision, contributing to internal and external QA processes such as moderation and Ofsted preparation.
-
Support trainee engagement, learning, progress, and pastoral care to ensure they can meet the Teachers’ Standards with confidence.
Our Work In EPA.
-
Conduct rigorous external EPA assessments in line with the Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA) Standard and requirements set out by the awarding EPA organisation.
-
Make recommendations to the DfE for the award of the apprenticeship, ensuring all judgements are aligned with the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) set out in the relevant occupational standard.
Whether you need strategic curriculum design, rigorous quality assurance, or operational delivery through tutor support, we can tailor our involvement to fit your needs.

Why LB Integrity?
We combine values-led expertise with first-hand ITT and EPA experience to ensure every new teacher is well-prepared for the realities of the classroom. Our approach is:

-
Equity-driven: Everything we do is designed to ensure high expectations and inclusive practice from the start of a teacher’s career..
-
Strategic and practical: Balancing programme design and evaluation with the day-to-day operational support that makes training effective.
-
Trusted and respected: Partners value our rigour, empathy, and ability to work seamlessly with trainees, mentors, and senior leaders.

Example: Leadership in ITT & EPA.
Jessica Grillo has led national programmes in ITT. She has overseen national programme design and delivery, supported tutors, and ensured training was responsive to research and policy. Her work was described by a colleague as “a rare blend of high standards, practical insight, and genuine care for the trainees and pupils she serves".
